Business Growth in 2021 - How to Set Goals that Stick and Have your Best Year Yet

How to we set ourselves up to succeed?
With daily habits that create bigger outcomes to hit clearly defined goals.

New Years Resolutions fade, but goals can be chased all year long.

“What get’s measured, get’s managed.” - Peter Drucker

Do you ever feel too overwhelmed with work to keep up? Too busy to stop and make a plan?

“Being busy is a form of laziness – lazy thinking
and indiscriminate action.” - Tim Ferriss

I’ve definitely been there multiple times, but I always find, if I stop and write a proper to do list and workout what parts are essential and non essential, then I can free up some headspace and find the time to complete the necessary tasks. It’s this precise reason I’ve found that goal setting is such an important factor in order to create tine whilst achieving goals.

Over the past 3 years I’ve been doing yearly and half-yearly business reviews for my own company. From those reviews I’ve then been setting myself business goals and strategies to get there. Each year this process has developed to be more efficient, in-depth and impactful.

I’ve now created a 6 step process for goal setting to make this year, your best year yet.

Here’s what my 6 step process looks like:

  • Review my last year to properly asses areas of opportunity and risk

  • Set top level goals for the year which act as an operating system to work by

  • Set specific goals for the year across a range of areas

  • Properly set yourself up to achieve these goals

  • Create a daily routine that works towards your goals

  • Review and Re-Iterate your goals as the year goes
