How Branding and Marketing can Build a Career as a Professional Athlete

When we think of professional athletes we tend to think of thousands of hours of hard training and practice. What we don’t often consider is the thought and strategy the goes on behind the scenes that takes skill and performance and turns it into a successful career.

I've been working as a skate coach for the past 3 years on top of my day job as as a Designer and have been trying to work out how to best help emerging and elite action sports athletes to enhance their career. The turning point came when the amazing Circe Wallace and Sue Izzo launched their new course 'The Sports Management Mastermind'. This timing was perfect and just the education I needed to help bridge the gap between my skate coaching & sponsorship experience and my design & branding knowledge.

I'm excited to say that as well as design, I'll now be helping emerging and elite athletes in Australia to build better careers as well as helping brands create more authentic content through better partnerships.
